The Hottest Jobs in Atlanta

If you’re in the right profession, the job market is heating back up.

The hottest hiring areas right now, for professionals and executives, are product development and project management, according to Brian McGowan of executive search firm DHR International.

“Innovation really seems to be occurring almost more on the science side of research and development, really bringing pure, new innovations to the marketplace,” says McGowan. “The other area is process/project management excellence. Folks that are getting trained in the areas of project management, supply chain, innovation, entrepreneurialism are all finding the market very open.”

For people in other fields, McGowan says there are still ways to make yourself more marketable: learn new skills and gain new knowledge within your current industry. “Make yourself inextricably important to the integration, the execution, and the ongoing concern.”

Because, according to McGowan, employers today are looking for workers from whom they can learn.
