Since the late 1940s, one of the most iconic holiday traditions in the city of Atlanta has been the lighting of the “Rich’s Great Tree”. The history of the beloved tree and lighting ceremony occupies an entire chapter in the 2012 book, "Rich's: A Southern Institution."
