Georgians can purchase “consumer fireworks,” which are made up of less pyrotechnics, based on House Bill 727. A license will be needed to buy and shoot professional ones.

The following are a few types of consumer fireworks that can be bought in Georgia stores, according to Georgia Gov.

  • Bottle Rockets
  • Wheels and Spinners
  • Sky Rockets
  • Parachutes
  • Roman Candles
  • Crackle and Strobe
  • Firecrackers
  • Sparklers
  • Smoke and Punk
  • Fountains
  • Missiles
  • Novelties

Keep in mind that for Independence Day, fireworks shows can last from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. as long as they are in compliance to county or municipal noise and ignition ordinances, according to the recently passed House Bill 419.
