If you’re tired of big box gift ideas, Atlanta has a vast variety of local shops often featuring items created by artists and makers in the city.

Here is a list of local stores around metro Atlanta where you can find stocking stuffers for the holidays.

Adelina Social Goods — Upper Westside shopping mall The Works is home to many dining and retail options, including Adelina Social Goods. A one-stop shop for gifts of all kinds, Adelina Social Goods has stationery, home decor, coffee table books, cocktail sets and holiday items, such as festive mixers and ornaments.



the beehive — This shop has a vast array of jewelry, bath and body goods, foodstuff, accessories, clothes and other goods, with signs about the local designers and artists who created the items. It also hosts private events and crafting workshops where people can learn how to sew and create jewelry, candles, soap, resin objects and more.

Brick+Mortar — What began as a vintage home goods business has turned into a storefront with antiques, art and signature soy candles. Brick+Mortar has partnerships with national retailers like Whole Foods and Crate and Barrel. The store has a jobs partnership with City of Refuge, which helps find employment and opportunities for people in crisis.

The Collective — In the famous Krog District near the Beltline Eastside Trail, you can find this co-op with a porch full of plants and succulents and a store full of vintage clothing, accessories and antique items.

CLUBHOUSE kid & craft — Located in Decatur, this store sells toys, books, baby items snacks and accessories. CLUBHOUSE kid & craft is the sister store of TREEHOUSE kid & craft in Athens, Georgia, though the two stores are independent and under different ownership.

The Local Exchange — In the picturesque Marietta Square, this general store offers a selection of locally sourced beverages, beer, wine, antiques, snacks, groceries and art. The Local Exchange also has a location in Darien, Georgia.

Personify — With locations in Duluth and Chamblee, Personify is a mother-daughter operation that sells an array of women’s clothing, household items, accessories and perfumes. It also carries a selection of holiday-themed decorations, personal care items and home goods. 

scents ’n suds — Created in 1975, this Ansley Mall store specializes in fragrances, featuring an Aroma Bar where you can find your unique fragrance blend. The store incorporates its scents in oils, lotions, moisturizers and bath products.

Squash Blossom — This boutique, with locations in Decatur and Grant Park, sells clothing and accessories that are wearable but have an artistic flair. Its 2024 gift guide also has curated options for the holidays, including home decor and hosting items.

Young Blood — Situated in Candler Park, Young Blood emphasizes the importance of sourcing its items from “independent makers” across the U.S., touting hand-crafted quality over quantity. The store features home decor items, fragrances, bath and body toiletries, accessories and paper goods.
