Jim Henson collection – Atlanta History Center

While the Muppets may have at one time “taken over Manhattan” many of the better known ones now live at the Atlanta History Center . . . at least through January.

– It was Jim Henson who created the beloved characters of Ernie and Bert, Kermit the Frog, and Big Bird, among many others. An exhibition created by the Smithsonian Institution and the Jim Henson Legacy opens this weekend at the Atlanta History Center. The show celebrates the work of a cultural icon. WABE's Lois Reitzes was at the opening earlier this week and has this report. Jim Henson's Fantastic World is on view at the Atlanta History Center through January 18th.
