Big-name musicians have to start somewhere. And in Atlanta that place is often the Monday night open-mic night at Eddie's Attic. Dana Goldman tells the stories of the club's success – and some aspiring singers.

– Almost every Monday for the past 17 years, singer-songwriters – including people like John Mayer and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles — have flocked to a small wood-paneled second-story club off a downtown Decatur alleyway.
