Atlanta, GA –
The annual clean, old fashion hate game or Georgia and Georgia Tech football game takes place this Saturday.
This time it's on Tech's turf.
WABE's Rose Scott reports a victory could mean a big bowl game payout and more importantly 365 days for victors to brag about the win.
71 miles between the schools, thousands of devoted alumnae and millions of arguments that's a good way to sum up Saturday's matchup.
Georgia and Georgia Tech are ranked and likely have bowl game appearances.
Still, Stephen Black of Score Atlanta sports magazine says this is the game that seems to matter the most especially for Bulldog fans,”Georgia fans if you win the SEC east, play in the SEC championship but lose to Tech it just sort of ruins the whole season.”
It's no secret Tech will mainly stick with its triple option offense of running the ball.
Black says that will make for a competitive matchup against the dawgs defense,”they're actually ranked number 2 in the country, which is pretty remarkable and Tech is second in the nation in passing so, it's the immovable object against the irresistible force.”
Does that mean the game will end in a tie well that's only happened 5 times?
Stephen Black believes the outcome will be Georgia winning by a score of 27 to 24.
