Metro Atlanta gas prices falling
The pain at the pump is easing. According to AAA, the average gas price today in Metro Atlanta is $3.74 a gallon. That’s a 12 cent drop from earlier this month when gas prices peaked at $3.86 a gallon.
Jessica Brady is a spokesperson for AAA.
“You have some of the largest oil consuming coutries in the world with not so great demand numbers, so that’s really putting prices down,” says AAA spokesperson, Jessica Brady. ”You have easing concerns with Iran which has put a downward pressure on prices; and the demand for the dollar has remained relatively stable,” she continues.
Brady expects prices to continue to go down in the short term. However, she’s unsure if they will remain low for the rest of the spring and summer.
