Atlanta Potter
According to his wife, Luba, Erik Haagensen was at one time a mild mannered but high strung marketing executive. However, because of the stress of his job he and his wife started The Mud Fire Pottery Studio in 1991. Originally he was going to continue working some but once the studio opened and he saw how much fun it was he quit his job and started working full time with clay. Today Erik is the curator of the gallery and manages the workshop program. His wife Luba also jokes that he’s Mud Fire’s ‘Minister of Plumbing’, the janitor and maintenance man.
