Lawmakers from some of the state’s larger cities are grumbling that this year’s session is playing out more like an Atlanta City Council meeting than a gathering of the General Assembly.The broadcast version of this story.
That’s according to a Morris News Service report. It says legislators from Augusta, Savannah and other parts of Georgia feel debates are becoming too Atlanta-centric.
They point to the hours spent last week debating whether Fulton County can double its homestead exemption.
All this as the House voted to table bills for Bibb, Dougherty, Hancock and Liberty Counties.
