Will New Campaign Targeting Child Sex Customers Produce Resources to Make Arrests?
On Monday, March 18 at the State Capitol, Federal, state and local officials unveiled a unified campaign to target customers of the child sex trade. The campaign includes a public service announcement aimed at potential customers. There are also efforts to get men who know child sex customers to report them to authorities. But there remains the question of whether the police and agents on the front lines will get any more money and resources to help them actually track down and arrest the johns. WABE’s Denis O’Hayer put those questions to some of the officials at the news conference.
