Frozen Snacks From Georgia Plant Recalled

Rich Products Corporation, which makes Farm Rich and Market Day frozen foods, is voluntarily recalling products made at its plant in Waycross, Georgia.

This includes all quesadillas, mini pizzas, and other snacks made at the plant with best buy dates ranging from January 1^st of this year to late September of next year.

This recall expands upon a smaller recall last week.

It is in response to an E. Coli outbreak that has spread to 27 people across the country, none in Georgia.

E. Coli was found in one package of Farm Rich chicken quesadillas.

Dwight Gram of Rich Products:

“Given that any possibility of causing illness to even one more person is possible, we acted with an abundance of caution.”

The FDA recommends throwing away all recalled products, but Gram says even if customers have contaminated foods, they are unlikely to get sick if they correctly follow the heating instructions on the package.

The cause of the contamination is not yet clear.

The Waycross, Georgia plant is only one of 36 Rich Products facilities.
