Governor Deal Addresses Students at Clayton State University Graduation

Governor Nathan Deal gave the commencement address to the graduating class of Clayton State University in Morrow over the weekend.

Aleck Ragsdale reports.

Governor Deal spoke on the importance of always doing your best and not settling for just “good enough”.

“It may be the easy task or the boring assignments where it’s easy to assume that no one is looking, and the temptation is great to simply do less that your best.”

38 year old Jawayne Graham just received his MBA from Clayton State. He says the commencement message resonated with lessons his father taught him.

“Well my father always said, whatever you do the most is what you do the best. That ties in with “just good enough, isn’t good enough”. You always have to put your best foot forward and understand that just because someone doesn’t see what you’re doing, doesn’t mean that it’s not impactful.”

Graham was one of more than 500 to graduate from Clayton State on Saturday.
