Atlanta’s Rhodes Hall Going Green
A century-old mansion in midtown Atlanta is going green.
Atlanta’s Rhodes Hall is improving its environmental efficiency.
The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation has gotten a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta
Georgia Trust spokesperson Traci Clark says, “The greenest building is the one that is already built. The Georgia Trust is implementing the first stage of Rhodes Hall’s greening by installing more efficient HVA systems and more effective insulation systems in the basement and attic.”
The Georgia Trust’s Board of Trustees is matching the Community Foundation grant in order to complete the project.
Rhodes Hall serves not only as an event space and museum but also as the Georgia Trust’s headquarters.
