StoryCorps: Kim and DeJah Ault
In the early 1980’s, Kim Ault was a teenager in the South Bronx. It was a period of change in her community, and one of those changes was the emergence of hip-hop.
In the StoryCorps booth, Kim told her daughter DeJah about how the genre reflected both the good and the bad times in her neighborhood.
