UPS Says It Will Deliver All Delayed Packages by End of Day Wednesday
UPS is telling local customers it should deliver all delayed packages by the end of the day Wednesday.
The statement comes as the company continues to play catch-up after last week’s winter storm.
This week, the shipping giant has started a lot of its tweets with the word, “Sorry.”

UPS suffered winter storm gridlock like the rest of metro Atlanta.
As roads cleared, packages rushed in to the Atlanta sort facility faster than they could go out.
But UPS continued accepting new shipments, which compounded the problem. UPS told customers “emergency conditions beyond UPS’ control” were responsible for delays of shipments sent more than a week after the storm.
Employees from its Sandy Springs headquarters reportedly bailed from their office cubicles to help get packages out.
This comes just after UPS and other delivery companies took a beating when they didn’t get Christmas presents to folks on time.
Also taking a beating: UPS’s stock price. It’s down 9-percent since Jan. 1st.
