Georgia Among Highest Rates of Enrollment through Healthcare Exchange

The federal government says 8 million Americans have enrolled in the online healthcare exchange, and Georgia’s sign-up rate is one of the highest in the U.S.

About one in three Georgians eligible to sign up for a policy on the federally-run exchange has taken the government up on the offer.

In all, 316,543 residents purchased health insurance through the exchange, according to figures released Thursday by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

At about 30%, Georgia comes  in at number 11 out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
