In February, when Russian forces began invading Ukraine, members of the Buckhead, Gwinnett and Atlanta Rotary Clubs knew they wanted to do something to help the country of Ukraine.
Over the past few months, the groups have been fundraising and leveraging community connections to send much-needed medical supplies and food to hospitals affected by the war.
Emory Morsberger is a member of the Gwinnett Rotary Club and the current president of Tucker’s Summit Community Improvement District.
This month he traveled to Ukraine to hand-deliver essential goods to three hospitals in the region.
Morsberger said it was highly beneficial to have Rotary International members able to use their local business knowledge to facilitate making the process as smooth as possible.
