Nike designers have created a new pair of Air Trainer SC High ATL sneakers to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Olympics Games in Atlanta.
The new shoes have a reflective green leather and green suede body with golden metal on the sides and a multicolored confetti sole. The tongue of the left shoe features a Georgia peach, and inside each shoe is the Nike logo framed in a laurel wreath. The color scheme matches that of the official Centennial Olympic Games logo.
1996 Atlanta Olympic Venues: Where Are They Now?
The 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta have a history of interesting footwear choices: Michael Johnson’s gold Nike running shoes carried him across the finish line and helped make history as he set the world record for the fastest 200-meter dash ever, until Usain Bolt broke his record in 2008.
