Wondrous and beautiful, mysterious and magical, delicious or deadly, neither plants nor animals, fungi are essential organisms in the web of life on earth. Far more than mere mushrooms, they hold a treasure trove of information within them that we’ve barely begun to uncover … including secrets that might pull us from the brink of total climate disaster.
A new documentary, “Fungi: Web of Life,” takes us into the mysterious world of fungi with the biologist and writer Merlin Sheldrake and is narrated by the iconic artist Björk. The film is screening now at Fernbank Museum. In this interview, filmmaker Joseph Nizeti joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to speak more about the film.
“Fungi: Web of Life” is screening at Fernbank Museum with no current end date. More information is available here.
