On City Lights’ series “Speaking of Music,” local musicians share work and stories in their own voices. In today’s segment, we feature Atlanta singer and songwriter Ian Cole.
“My music revels in the beauty of the past, coupled with a modern approach,” says Cole. “I aim to make timeless music as a direct reflection of my lived experiences.”
Cole’s vibe can be described as vintage/retro, a soulful modern take on classic rock ’n’ roll.
As a Georgia native, Cole finds Atlanta to be unmatched as a city.
“Atlanta raised me. There’s simply no place like it. Here is a destination with a history so deeply entrenched in unlocking the full potential of its people that living anywhere else feels unconscionable to me,” Cole says.
