The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation’s stated purpose is, broadly, to improve the quality of life of Georgians.
The foundation centers its focus on projects related to health, education, environment, human services, arts & culture and community development.
Its five board members and 13 staffers do that by giving away money to non-profits involved in health, education, economic opportunity and community vitality.
Since its founding in 1937 by its namesake, a Coca-Cola executive, The Woodruff Foundation had not had a person of color on its board until now.
