Our “Speaking of” series spotlights local creatives sharing their inspiration, influences, and experiences. In our continued efforts to expand the series, today we add “Speaking of Poetry” to our collection. In this segment, Atlanta’s creative lyricists share the rhyme and reason behind the art of language.

For this edition of “Speaking of Poetry,” we feature poet LadyVee DaPoet. LadyVee describes her style of poetry as quality creative expression. “I describe my poetry as observative. I definitely take a look around the world and I pull in the experiences, I pull in the senses of the things that I go through and I put it through my words,” says LadyVee. “It’s a journey through life, love, heartache, art, observations and reflections.” In this segment, LadyVee shares an excerpt from her poem “In the Midst of All the Quiet.”
