NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series is known to highlight stop-you-in-your-tracks musical talent. And every year, the Tiny Desk contest lifts up one lucky winner to their loudspeaker. This year’s winner is the Springville, Utah, indie folk outfit known as Little Moon, whose song “Wonder Eye” was called captivating and emotional by the Tiny Desk judges.
The band is performing in Atlanta at WABE’s 75th anniversary Mixtape Block Party on June 25 in Callaway Plaza at the Woodruff Arts Center. In this interview, “City Lights” senior producer Kim Drobes speaks with Little Moon’s Emma Hardyman.
“It was really scary to break out of that safety net, and keeping sincere in my music was the only form of validation that I could have,” Hardyman said.
