Hometown pride comes in many forms, and when you come from an arts community as rich as Atlanta’s, collecting local art is a great place to start. One Atlanta couple has made the celebration of our city’s Black and BIPOC artists their mission, collecting more than 200 works over the last ten years.
George and Esohe Galbreath have now gathered the art in a new book, “The Galbreath Collection: A Decade of Collecting Atlanta.” In this interview, George and Esohe Galbreath joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes o talk about how art collecting can become a calling and a way of life.
Their new book, “The Galbreath Collection: A Decade of Collecting Atlanta,” is out now, and more information is available here.
