In 1992 10-year-old Danielle Griffith was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and survived the life-threatening disease. In 2003 her soon-to-be husband Stephen was diagnosed with the same disease and survived, as well. As fate would have it, in 2007, they met, married, and had two daughters, Milana and Lylah.

Their shared experience led them to launch an organization that would celebrate their survival as well as raise money to help ensure the survival of others.

Operation Action Through Art is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing art education and materials for children to create artwork to raise money for cancer research.

In this interview, “City Lights” producer Jeannine Etter speaks with Operation Action Through Art’s co-founder Danielle Snowdy along with her daughters, co-founders and contributing artists Milana Snowdy and Lylah Snowdy.
