Forget Rembrandt! Vermeer? Van Gogh?? No! The Thirty Most Important Years in Dutch History began in 1993 and continues.

That, according to Andrew Moskos and Pep Rosenfeld, who founded Boom Chicago in Amsterdam thirty years ago. That improv group in the Dutch capital revolutionized comedy in the US. The Boom Chicago founders have written a hilarious book featuring interviews with their mega-famous alumni.

In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes speaks with the authors Andrew Moskos and Pep Rosenfeld about the book.

“Something about doing the show five times a week in Amsterdam and having to connect with people who don’t love you already is the best training for a future in comedy writing,” Rosenfeld said.

Their new book is “Boom Chicago Presents the 30 Most Important Years in Dutch History.”
