The 40+ Double Dutch Club was created in 2016 for women over 40 who want a fun and affordable way to improve their physical and mental health. The group jumps double Dutch and Chinese rope and plays hopscotch, hula hoop and many nostalgic games from the schoolyard.

Although the group began in Chicago, it now has sub-clubs nationwide, even in the Atlanta metro area. In this interview, 40+ Double Dutch Club co-founder Pamela Robinson and Jerri McElroy, director of the Atlanta division, joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk more about the organization.

“I make new friends every week, and while I think a lot of people come for the double Dutch, they stay for the sisterhood,” Robinson said.
