A choice excerpt from the official bio of actor and comedian Bill Burr: “None of his opinions are based on any sort of reliable information. He tends to go with this first thought because reading makes him sleepy.”

Burr is an unequivocal giant in comedy and entertainment, and nobody’s fool; he consistently sells out arena stages, he co-created the Netflix animated series “F is for Family,” founded the media network and studio “All Things Comedy,” and he just made his directorial debut with his film “Old Dads.” He also delights in directing his acerbic, self-proclaimed “uninformed logic” at our culture’s thorniest topics, testing the mettle of his ever-growing audience.

Burr returns to Atlanta with a live stand-up show at State Farm Arena on Nov. 8. In this interview, Burr joins “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to speak more about his career and upcoming performance.

“There’s definitely a thing, like, on certain jokes where you’re like, ‘Alright, how far can I push this and still not lose the crowd?’” Burr said.
