The hit Broadway turned Netflix movie “The Prom” dances its way back to Atlanta for a new production at Out Front Theatre.

The sweet, toe-tapping, show-stopping musical tells the story of four fading Broadway stars who try to drum up publicity by taking up a good cause in a small town in Indiana where a culture clash surrounding a high school prom causes an uproar.

The show is on stage at Out Front Theatre through Nov. 11. In this interview, director Caty Bergmark joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk more about the new staging of the play.

“I reflect on getting to see it in 2016 and naively thinking that the show was a little dated. It felt a little non-progressive like we were past that. Unfortunately, that’s just not the case,” Bergmark reflected.
