An Irish gambling site and business analysts both list Atlanta as a top city to land Amazon’s second headquarters.
Paddy Power, located in Ireland, gave Atlanta 3-1 odds to win Amazon’s HQ2. Moody’s Investors Service ranked Atlanta second on its list of cities to secure the online-retail giant’s new home.
Dave Reibstein, a marketing professor at the University of Pennsylvania, said being mentioned as a top choice for Amazon can influence other companies.
“Boy, Atlanta really is business friendly and they really want to encourage businesses moving to the Atlanta region,” he said on the potential thought process of other companies. “Therefore, we need to consider Atlanta as one of the choices.”
Everest Group, a management consultant company, listed Atlanta as one of five cities that could support HQ2.
