One of Atlanta’s most welcoming, diverse, and inclusive vocal ensembles, The Trey Clegg Singers, began eight years ago when its namesake artistic director wanted to see a chorus of talented singers from across the cultural rainbow united in a message of community. Now, The Trey Clegg Singers are 40 members strong, an Atlanta music mainstay, and their annual holiday concerts bring out huge crowds as diverse as themselves. This year’s 8th annual Trey Clegg Singers Christmas concert, “Festival Sounds of the Season,” takes place on Dec. 17 at the Church at Wieuca in Buckhead. In this interview, Trey Clegg speaks with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to discuss the ensemble and their upcoming concert.
“Everyone really just enjoys listening to each other and learning things about each other’s cultures,” Clegg said.
