When we listen to music with no words, an emotional story is communicated without being spoken. The magic of instrumental music is the theme of Atlanta’s upcoming 2nd annual No Words Fest, launched last year by musician and producer Ann Wood.

This year, the instrumental music festival takes place at multiple venues over the course of 13 hours, beginning at 11 a.m. on Dec. 28.  In this interview, “City Lights” managing producer Kim Drobes recently spoke with event organizer Ann Wood and festival headliner Chris Moten, who performs as Trap Jazz.

“Jazz allows me to be free, and then the hip-hop allows us to have structure and understanding,” Moten said.

The No Words Festival takes place on December 28 at multiple Atlanta venues, and more information is available here.
