“The Ballad of Klook and Vinette” first premiered in London in 2014 and will make its American premiere here in Atlanta. The book, music and lyrics were co-written by a trio of British artists: composer and singer/songwriter Anoushka Lucas, soul singer Omar and playwright Che Walker.

Both Lucas and Walker are in Atlanta for the U.S. premiere, and Lucas joined host Lois Reitzes on “City Lights” to discuss the show, alongside Atlanta actress Brittany Inge, who plays Vinette.

“The Ballad of Klook and Vinette” runs Jan. 19 through Feb. 18 at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points.
