Everybody at “City Lights” is talking about “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.”

Based on a true story, the hit musical opens Feb. 15 in a new production from Actor’s Express in collaboration with Oglethorpe University students.

Set to exuberant music, the show chronicles the journey of Jamie Campbell as he decides to dress in drag for his high school prom. This queer coming-of-age story hits closer to home for LGBTQ youth audiences now more than ever in 2024.

On the eve of the show’s opening night, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with director Freddie Ashley from Actor’s Express and “Jamie’s” lead actor, Noah Vega.
