Atlanta is known as the “Hollywood of the South,” and WABE’s podcast “The Boom” takes a weekly look at our growing television and film industry. Our “City Lights” series “Speaking of ‘The Boom'” amplifies the voices of local professionals who keep Atlanta’s moving picture business booming.

This episode highlights Atlanta Union actor, writer, director and stunt performer Jenna Kanell.

“There really isn’t such a thing as a typical day for me,” Kanell reflects. “Sometimes I’m on set, sometimes I’m not. If it’s a project that I’ve worked behind the scenes on, then it could be anything from pre-production meetings, just working at home, or post-production sessions in an edit suite.”

Kanell’s favorite part of work is working on multiple projects at various stages and that makes it different every day and different every week.
