On the “City Lights” series “Speaking of Poetry,” Atlanta’s most prolific wordsmiths discuss the art of evoking emotions with words. This “Speaking of Poetry” edition features poet and author Katie Chaple.
“My current poetry has undergone a shift since my first book (Pretty Little Rooms). I’ve started turning more and more away from epiphanies at the end of poems,” said Chaple.
“That kind of realization,” she continued, “I guess because it started feeling dishonest to me. The more I write, and the older I get, I discover how little I know.”
