Randi Parks is a proud first-generation college student; her mother is her biggest inspiration. At Oglethorpe University, the honors student majored in international studies and minored in French and politics.

Parks also served as class president of the Student Government Association (SGA).

She says this Saturday, May 18, will be a new chapter for her family when she walks across the stage and receives her degree. Because of her academic achievements, her new chapter will begin in Europe.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Parks talks with host Rose Scott about recently receiving a Fulbright English teaching assistantship in Belgium for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
