It’s the golden anniversary for Atlanta’s historic jazz radio station, Jazz 91.9 WCLK. The milestone marks 50 years since the station first launched at Clark Atlanta University in 1974.

To mark the occasion, the Atlanta Jazz Festival will join forces with WCLK to present an all-star celebration concert at Atlanta Symphony Hall on May 24.

The “WCLK at 50” showcase will feature acclaimed drummer Lil’ John Roberts conducting a supergroup live band of Atlanta jazz talent, including Kebbi Williams, Joe Gransden, Cleveland Jones, Julie Dexter and many more.

Singer Alexandra Jackson, one of the headliners of the festival, joins Lois Reitzes of “City Lights” with Wendy Williams, general manager of Jazz 91.9 WCLK, to discuss the upcoming festival.
