From 1977 to 1987, athlete and former Morehouse student Edwin Moses went undefeated in the 400-meter hurdles for 122 consecutive races. He set four world records in those years and won two Olympic Gold medals.
Morehouse’s track was first laid in the early 1980s. Though it was resurfaced for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games, Moses says it “fell into disrepair” as the century turned.
In 2022, he helped bring it back to life.
#3. Due to unpaid funds, an Alpharetta-based technology company has recently filed a lawsuit against which prominent Georgia sheriff?
It’s Patrick Labat.
The dispute, filed in Fulton County Superior Court on May 30, stems from questions raised by some county commissioners about Labat’s relationship with the Alpharetta-based software company Talitrix.
According to the lawsuit, Labat in his official capacity as sheriff of Fulton County never paid Talitrix the $865,000 bill for that work, and the company canceled the contract.

#5. The mayor’s office announced early Thursday morning that the boil water advisory in place for parts of Atlanta affected by major water main breaks had been lifted entirely. This was shortly after repairs on a water main break in ___________ were completed on Wednesday.

The announcement came after seven days of water main breaks in numerous areas caused outages, low water pressure and boil water advisories.
The water main break at the intersection of West Peachtree Street and 11th Street in Midtown caused a geyser-like eruption of water to shoot out of the ground, shutting down the street for days.
