#4. What happened to the defense attorney for rapper Young Thug this week?
It’s all of the above.
Defense attorney Brian Steel was ordered to spend the next 10 weekends in jail after Fulton County Superior Court Chief Judge Ural Glanville found him in contempt for refusing to disclose how Steel had information about a private meeting between the judge, Fulton County prosecutors and a major witness. Steel asked Glanville if he could serve his days in the Cobb County Jail, where Young Thug is being held, so he and his client could work on the rapper’s defense. He also appealed the criminal contempt, which is now being taken up by the Georgia Supreme Court, which hit pause on the attorney’s sentence.

The food court shooting and the bus hijacking — only a couple of hours and a few blocks apart — created a sense of chaos in Atlanta.
