The collaboration between a popular brewery and a popular barbecue restaurant will debut tomorrow, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m.

Wild Heaven Beer, based in Avondale Estates, is opening the brewery in partnership with Fox Bros at the Toco Hill Shopping Center in Atlanta. The address is 2935-B, North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta. The brewery will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. The kitchen will close 30 minutes before the brewery closes.

“Weather permitting, guests can also enjoy live music on the patio, with performances on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons,” the press release announcing the opening says. “The main taproom features three large TVs.”

The project was first announced in 2023.

“We’ve had a great experience working with the Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q team to bring this concept to life in such a special location,” Wild Heaven co-president Nick Purdy said in a press release. “The feedback and excitement we’ve received from the community have been incredible. We’re thrilled with how the space turned out and look forward to creating many great memories.”

The space includes a 93-seat tap room and 48-seat event space, along with an outdoor courtyard and an on-site smoker.

“Customers can order Wild Heaven’s craft beers, wines sourced from Georgia’s top farm wineries, house-made cocktails, and Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q—all in a single transaction,” the press release says.

Barbecue and beer enthusiasts were excited by the project, which had to jump the usual hurdles of opening a new restaurant in DeKalb County before it could become reality.

But the Wild Heaven team believes the project will deliver something special to the area.

Here’s more information about the project, provided by Wild Heaven:

The thoughtful design of Wild Heaven Toco Hills seamlessly merges rustic elements with modern touches, reflecting the brewery’s collaboration with Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q,” the press release says. “The entry to the private dining space features repurposed doors from the iconic Petite Auberge, which once graced the neighboring space, while the main taproom showcases a working fireplace—a nod to its original use when the space housed the popular French restaurant.

Guests can enjoy an indoor-outdoor feel, thanks to large garage doors that open up to a vibrant courtyard. Adirondack chairs, repurposed custom-built picnic tables, and wood barrels offer ample seating beneath the shade of two massive trees adorned with string lighting. The cozy courtyard, perfect for live music performances, is not exclusive to the brewery but contributes to the overall community atmosphere – making it an ideal gathering spot.

Wild Heaven Co-President and Brewmaster Eric Johnson will continue to oversee beverage operations across all Wild Heaven locations and their distribution network, while Head Brewer Josh Franks has been promoted to Brewmaster for the Toco Hill location. Franks plans to brew a series of beers unique to the location, alongside Wild Heaven favorites like Emergency Drinking Beer, Sunburst IPA, White Blackbird Saison, and Euro-Style Pilsner.

Sarah Young, Wild Heaven’s Executive VP, adds, “The partnership with Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q runs deeper than most people might think. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know them personally over the past decade and consider many of their staff and extended BBQ family to be good friends. Working with them on this collaboration has been a true joy. Doing business with people you genuinely like is the ultimate form of winning, and we can’t wait to raise a glass—and a chicken fried rib or wing—together!”

Firing up the onsite smokers, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q is serving a full menu of their signature smoked meats, sandwiches, and mouthwatering sides at the new Toco Hills location. Guests will find a selection of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q greatest hits, from classic appetizers like Chicken Fried Ribs and Texas Fries to the legendary Fox Smashburger and towering Texecutioner sandwich (stacked high with chopped Certified Angus Beef and Smoked Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage). In addition, they’re introducing tasty new snacks like Buffalo Cheddar Pork Rinds and Chicken Fried Mushroom Sticks. Guests can build their own meat combo plate with two sides or order their beloved smoked chicken wings tossed in spicy barbecue sauce or lemon pepper seasoning. Ordering is easy, with a walk-up counter for guests to place food, beer, and bar orders.

“We can’t wait to get the party started with the Wild Heaven team and officially open the doors to this location,” says Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q co-owner Jonathan Fox. “We’ve been cooking up some awesome new bar snacks to pair with their amazing beers, and this will be a great spot for the neighborhood to enjoy this collaboration. Come hungry, come thirsty!”
