Georgia and several states across the country are dealing with a digital divide. The National Skills Coalition found that no matter your skill or education level, or how much work experience you have — virtually all of today’s jobs require digital skills. But many in the Peach State lack access to digital skills or at-home internet.

In an effort to provide solutions, Comcast and Inspiredu recently opened a flagship Lift Zone in Atlanta to advance digital equity and drive economic growth. The new center offers free internet access and digital skills training.

On Friday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Melinda Little, vice president of government affairs for Comcast’s “Big South” region, talked with show host Rose Scott about the new facility and how it will serve as a connection hub for Georgians.
