In our ongoing “City Lights” series with travel expert Rick Steves, “ATL Up & Away,” he talks about traveling to Europe with children in this episode. He has great tips for gearing the trip toward kid-friendly activities that the entire family can enjoy.

“Make sure that the kids have true input in the itinerary. Every day, there should be one activity that is at the request of the child,” said Steves. He continued.

“You may feel like the kids don’t always appreciate it or are not quite enthusiastic about it all. They are sponges. Whether they let you know or not, they are learning, they are absorbing, and they are being shaped.”
