President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to return to the White House. His second inauguration is set for Jan. 20, 2025.

As Trump is currently putting together his new administration, some top circulating questions are: Will Trump’s staunch supporters from the Peach State have a role in it, and how will Trump’s reelection impact Fulton County’s election interference case?

WABE politics reporters Sam Gringlas and Rahul Bali return to “Closer Look.” to discuss the latest. They also talked with show host Rose Scott about local political news, including new leadership for the House and Senate and Georgia’s election board and who could run for Georgia’s next governor. The reporters also previewed the 2025 legislative session.
