How Tariffs Affect Georgia Businesses And Consumers

Additional tariffs set to go into effect Sunday may end up being canceled, and some existing tariffs on Chinese goods may be lifted. But the ongoing trade war with China has had an impact in Georgia. It’s hit farmers, retailers and manufacturers, and as the holidays approach shoppers could be seeing higher prices, too.

Charles Hankla, a political science professor at Georgia State University wrote about the current situation with tariffs for The Conversation, and he joined WABE to discuss what’s going on.
