Basketball star Joe Barry Carroll is perhaps best known for his time playing ball at Purdue University. He is universally considered one of the greatest to play at the college level. His accomplishments extended to his time in the NBA, where he played for 10 seasons.
Carroll is also an accomplished author. His latest co-authored memoir, “Coach Lee Rose: On Family and Basketball,” explores the longtime friendship Carroll and Rose shared. The friendship began while Carroll was still a player at Purdue. They remained close.
Carroll describes Rose: “People talk about the great coaches like John Wooden, all these guys in history. That’s the way we felt about Coach Rose. He was that cat.”
