With shelter-in-place measures, we can no longer accept dinner invitations, but celebrity chef Alton Brown and Elizabeth Ingram are welcoming you into their home — via YouTube.
Their latest series “Quarantine Quitchen” embraces the laid-back nature that being at home provides. It focuses on demonstrating that cooking is something we all can do and something that we all can relate to.
“Food can be such an intimidating thing,” Brown says. “What we wanted to do, especially during this time while we’re all in lockdown, is to say, ‘You know what? We’re actually pretty much all the same.’”
The series has been a monumental hit, amassing thousands and thousands of views.
Viewers have watched: Brown and Ingram cook outside of the confines of a studio, them with guitars, some of their goofs and even an occasional family dog stop by to join in.
