The 12th annual Shuler Awards put on by the ArtsBridge Foundation is proof that, despite the trying times, the show must go on. The awards recognize the outstanding achievements of the state’s high school musical theatre and schools.
The awards consist of more than 75 schools and nearly 10,00 students and is considered one of the most prestigious high school awards in the United States.
In the wake of COVID-19, the awards are moving to the virtual realm. Angela Farr Schiller of ArtsBridge, along with Shuler Hensley, joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes for a conversation about the awards and the switch to digital.
