With less than 30 days before the presidential election, Georgia Republicans are ramping up their efforts to get Georgia voters to support the state’s Republican candidates.
Christian Zimm, president of the Buckhead Young Republicans, spoke to WABE’s “Morning Edition” host Lisa Rayam recently about what the group is doing to help GOP candidates win on Election Day.
The Buckhead Young Republicans group will cohost several upcoming events, including debate watch parties.
“Each debate watch party is cohosted by the Buckhead, Atlanta, Cobb, and Dekalb Young Republicans,” Zimm, an Emory University law student, said. “The Trump rally is the only event listed that will be held solely by the Buckhead Young Republicans.”
Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party on Wednesday from 8 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at the Creatwood Tavern in Smyrna.
Second Presidential Debate Watch Party on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Pour Taproom (Auburn Ave).
Trump Rally with U.S. Rep. Doug Collins on Friday, Oct. 16, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at The Ivy Buckhead.
Third Presidential Debate Watch Party on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Wild Wings Cafe (Dunwoody).
The Blue Project website asserts they “will work to flip Georgia blue by activating our key constituencies—women, communities of color, and youth—and making sure they understand the importance, not just of voting, but voting for Democrats.”
